There are three morphotypes or varieties of a person's physique:

Endomorph: Individual with a tendency to gain and maintain body fat easily. More rounded body shape due to greater fat accumulation. Has a slow metabolism and difficulty gaining muscle without adding fat.

Mesomorph: Is naturally the most athletic physique of the three biotypes. The ideal physique for athletes, with a high capacity to develop muscle mass.
They have an easy way to lose weight and gain muscle, a moderately fast metabolism.

Ectomorph: Leaner physique and less fat. They usually have a very active and fast metabolism.
Feels enormous difficulty in gaining weight, with a low percentage of muscle mass and body fat. A skeletal and light structure.

Our body can present characteristics of two biotypes at the same time, with one of them being more dominant than the other.

It is good to remember that having knowledge of what your body biotype is, can help you to achieve your fitness goals. The difference between them is that some will require a little more dedication and effort than others. With a good diet and workouts tailored to you you can achieve the body of your dreams that suits your lifestyle.
